Privacy Policy - Tappi

Effective Date: April 4, 2026 | Last Updated: April 4, 2026

This policy explains how the Tappi app collects, uses, shares, and protects data when you use it on Android and iPhone. Tappi is built as a private 1-to-1 space between two linked people, not a public social network.

1. Scope

This policy applies to the Tappi app, its app page, and its legal pages hosted on App2Mob.

By using the app, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Data We Collect

We collect only the data needed to operate a private paired space, deliver syncing, support media features, and provide notifications.

  • Technical identifiers such as session, user, member, or private-space identifiers.
  • Name or nickname, plus pairing or private-space codes used to link two people.
  • Signals, quick replies, love notes, drawings, photos, capsules, and text or media content you choose to create or send.
  • Notification tokens and notification status used to deliver alerts and widget updates.
  • Technical and operational data such as device type, operating system, app version, and limited crash/performance signals when operationally necessary.
  • Purchase or paid-access status from Google Play or the Apple App Store; we do not store full payment card details.

3. Permissions and Device Access

We request only the permissions needed for the features you choose to use.

  • Notifications: to deliver signals, replies, private-space alerts, and widget updates.
  • Photos/Media: to select a photo or video from your device for Love Notes, Love Capsules, or saved results.
  • Camera: if you choose to capture a photo or video directly inside the app, depending on platform and feature availability.

4. How We Use Data

We use data only for the following purposes:

  • Operate the private paired space, link both sides, and sync content between them.
  • Display signals, replies, Love Notes, capsules, and media inside the app or widget surfaces.
  • Send notifications, background updates, and widget refreshes where supported.
  • Validate purchases and unlock paid features such as deeper insights or additional capacity when available.
  • Handle reports, abuse prevention, safety actions, and service reliability improvements.
  • Respond to support or privacy requests you send to us.

5. Sharing with Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data.

Limited data may be shared only with providers required to operate the app or where required by law.

  • Your linked partner inside the same private space sees the content you intentionally send through Tappi.
  • Firebase and Google Cloud for technical sign-in, sync, storage, notifications, backend functions, and media delivery.
  • Google Play and the Apple App Store for app distribution, purchase handling, and premium verification.
  • Legal or regulatory authorities when disclosure is required by law.

6. Media and Private Sharing

Tappi is not a public social network and does not offer stranger discovery or public posting of photos or videos.

Any image, video, drawing, or text shared in Tappi is intended only for private 1-to-1 sharing between two linked people.

We require shared content to be lawful and consensual, and we may apply safety actions when reports or abuse concerns arise.

7. Purchases and Paid Access

If you buy a paid feature or premium unlock in Tappi, billing is handled through the store account associated with your device.

We do not receive your full payment card number. We may receive only limited transaction details required to verify the purchase and activate or restore paid access.

8. Retention and Deletion

We retain data only for as long as reasonably needed to operate the app, provide syncing, and comply with legal or safety obligations.

  • You can remove content inside the app where the feature allows it.
  • You can delete the app or clear local app data from your device.
  • You can contact us for privacy or deletion assistance.
  • Limited records related to safety reports, abuse prevention, or purchase verification may be kept when operationally or legally necessary.

9. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.

No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

10. International Transfers

Some data may be processed by infrastructure or service providers located outside your country, depending on the services used to operate the app.

11. Your Rights and Choices

You can manage or reduce your data through the following options:

  • Revoke notification, photo, or camera permissions from your device settings.
  • Delete the app or clear local data from your device.
  • Contact us for access, deletion, or privacy questions where applicable under law.

12. Children's Privacy

The app is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
